The Galaxy S26 Ultra, Samsung's next flagship smartphone, has been the subject of numerous leaks and speculations regarding its color options and design. Recent information suggests potential changes to color availability and the device's overall feel in hand.

Expected Color Options

Initial leaks pointed to a limited selection of colors for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, including black, white, blue, and purple. However, a more recent and comprehensive leak from a trusted source, Evan Blass, indicates that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could launch in six finishes: Black, White, Silver Shadow, Sky Blue, Cobalt Violet, and Pink Gold. It is speculated that the Cobalt Violet variant will be the signature color, prominently featured in Samsung's marketing materials.

Color Availability and the Absence of Orange

While earlier rumors suggested a striking orange colorway, possibly inspired by the iPhone 17 Pro's Cosmic Orange finish, more recent leaks, including those from Evan Blass, do not mention this option. This has led to speculation that Samsung may have dropped the orange finish to avoid accusations of copying Apple. It also appears that there may be fewer color options than the previous year's Galaxy S25 Ultra, which was offered in seven colorways.

Design and Ergonomics

In addition to color options, leaks have also focused on the Galaxy S26 Ultra's design and ergonomics. A leaked image comparing screen protectors of the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra suggests that the latter might have more rounded corners. This design tweak could make the phone significantly more comfortable to hold, addressing a common concern with the sharper, more squared-off design of previous models like the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
